Here are some great info pages for some of my favorite bands. They vary in topic from informative, to silly, to having a useful purpose, such as guitar tab.
SepultribeNot the offical Sepultura homepage, just way better. Someone actually spent the money to get a custom domain name and do an amazing job. I wish my site looked and functioned this well. This has absolutlely everything, from guitar tab to a chat room.
If you ever get the evil urge to screw over the telephone company, bootleg software or burn AOL, there are plenty of good sites out there. Unfortunately, there often well hidden. I hope these people don't mind to bad that I make them less so. Please have enough common sense to realize that describing how to do a crime is not illegal, but actually doing it is.
  • Windows NT/2000 registry hacksPerfectly legal (but dangerous) registry hacks. Stand dislaimers apply, hack the registry and risk blowing up your system. But, sometime this f'd up OS requires you to delve in. Here's where to find the which key to modify.
  • I Love You Virus Source CodeWhen the I Love You Virus came around I just laughed. It modifed the system registry via a VB script to do it's nasty work. I have a Mac. No registry to modify. Ha, ha. Anyway, one of the nice things about the virus being a script instead of a compiled executeable is that you can see just how they did it so you can protect yourself against future attacks. Don't worry, this is JUST a text file. The .vbs has been removed so you are safe.
    I usually don't like too may pages filled with plugs for their products, but some products are just too cool not to check out at least some info on them.
  • Orange Micro One of the great things about Macintosh compatable computers are that you can put cards on them and run PC programs on them. This is one of the companies that makes those cards. Amazing. You can actually be running a Pentium 200 chip on a card inside you Mac. Yet another reason to buy a Mac over a PC.
    I often wonder if people think picture sites were the reason the web was developed. Anyway I usually shy away from these sites, but I have found some so amuzing, or so bizare that I figured I'd let you see for yourself.
  • The Jennifer Aniston Picture Gallery The definition of an obsession page. All the pictures are clean, but one still has to wonder what kinda guy maintains this page. Also noted for the worst midi background music on the web.
    Some people love movies so much the make sites for them. Here's some of my favorites
    Star Wars Book Okay, so it's not movie related. I'm sick to death of Star Wars movie sites anyway. This one, is a keeper though. All the latest news on the Star Wars books. I seem to be more of a Star Wars book fan than a movie fan, and this is great for a nitpicker like me. Chronolgy, synopsis, etc... It's all here.
  • Netscape's Developer Page It's a browser specific world and better than 70% of the world uses Navigator. You'd better make sure your scripts conform to Netscape standards, and this is where to find more about Netscape quirks.
  • JavaScript FAQIt's very rare to find a JavaScript page that is remotely helpful for anything other than very basic stuff, and for someone who programs Javascript for a living it can be quite frustrating. This site is an exception to the rule. It is genuinely helpful, and free.
  • comp.lang.javasciptIt you know a bit about JavaScript and are stuck with a problem this is absolutly the best place to go and ask questions. Be warned, however, on this group there IS such a thing as a stupid question.
